Peter will perform music of classical pieces, jazz songs from the “American Songbook”, and selections from the recently recorded original opera “Gods of the Hills” which tells the story of Ethan Allen & the birth of Vermont. 

Peter Schmeeckle attained a Masters in Music from the University of Washington in 2010.  He is a versatile drummer, pianist, cornetist, singer, guitarist and composer.  Since 2015 he has taught privately at Stowe Music Center.  In 2020 he formed Vermont Jazz Trio and produced the album “On The Scene”.  He has led many local groups and pioneered the series “Jazz At The Peak” at Spruce Peak Arts Center in 2022.  Peter also teaches snowboarding and resides in Stowe.
