Lamoille Neighbors will resume doing services for members begining Monday June 22nd, 2020. We have been following current state guidelines. On 6/17 Gov. Philp Scott announced the easing of restrictions for those 65 and over, and lifted the stay at home order for this age group. However, there is a continued need to take special precautions when going out. We have established protocols for members and volunteers as well as a waiver form that needs to be signed and returned prior to a volunteer providing services.

Wash your hands - Wear a mask - Maintain 6 feet of distance when possibile

We will continue to serve as a lifeline to access groceries, medications, and other essential supplies with doorstep delivery, adhering to the same precautions we have been taking during the stay-at-home orders, but will now also provide transportation to medical and personal appointments as well as other services needed by members. We will also offer friendly visits outside in the fresh air.

WHAT IS LAMOILLE NEIGHBORS?

Lamoille Neighbors is part of the Village-to-Village movement, an innovative nation-wide organization that has emerged in the last decade in the organizational field of support services for older adults. We are committed to helping our members age in a place of their choosing, closely connected to their communities.

WE HAVE A VISION

Lamoille Neighbors aims to change the culture of aging. We believe that age is a season of growth and meaning.  We can find contentment and purpose in our older years through both giving and receiving volunteer service. We can continue life-long learning and maintain wellness and find new friends. We can remain in the homes we love with support from our neighbors.
