September 8th, 9:30, Upper Sterling Gorge. This hike will be a 3.8 mile loop in Sterling Valley, Stowe. The upper gorge trail climbs 643 ft but is generally a gradual up and has easy footing. It can be muddy at times so wear footwear that is ok to get mud on. Bring poles if you think you will need them.

Take Sterling Valley Rd. approximately 3.4 miles. The road makes a sharp turn to the left but you will go straight, which goes up to a large parking lot. If you miss the straight road you will end up at a small parking lot at the main gorge. Turn around and come back. There is no cell service in this area.
