October 20th, 9:30, Millstone Quarries, Barre Town Forest.

The forest is a 370 acre park located on the property of an old granite mine. The mine was established in 1790 and was operational for over 100 years. There are scenic vistas, towering grout piles, dramatic quarries and relics from the old quarrying days.

Lisa will develop a hike through the quarries of approximately 5 miles in length . Directions will be sent out closer to the date.
