Have you ever wanted to know more about the history of local Vermont architecture? How do the historic buildings in Morrisville and Stowe contribute to the aesthetics that locals and visitors alike love? Why do so many houses in Vermont look alike? How did industrialization influence local buildings? This talk will address these questions by offering a chronological overview of common historic styles in Vermont.
Historian Jill Mudgett lives in Lamoille County and has a longtime interest in New England architecture and historic preservation. She is outgoing president of the Morristown Historical Society, which operates the Noyes House Museum.
