Hiking Group, July 13th, Millstone Quarries at the Barre Town Forest. 

The forest is a 370 acre park located on the property of an old granite mine. The mine was established in 1790 and was operational for over 100 years. There are scenic vistas, towering grout piles, dramatic quarries and relics from the old quarrying days.We will do an approximately 5 miles with 350 ft ascent. There is a lot to see so don’t plan to be back early. Directions will be sent out closer to the date.
